In the midst of this era of 24/7 connectivity and digital relationships, we are experiencing an epidemic of loneliness. Most people have many relationships and social media “friends,” but the vast majority live in isolation without really knowing others or being known. While God created us to know Him, He also created us with a need for others. In a world of increasing isolation and surface-level relationships, God intentionally created us to live in community. In short, we need friends – genuine, in-the-flesh friends. Yet in this digital world, it almost feels like we have forgotten how to build them. In this series, we will re-discover the lost art of friendship and see why fighting for a life of friendship is so important for all of us.
