We have thousands and thousands of people who are becoming apprentices of Jesus. But Jesus is no longer physically present to observe and to learn from. So, without the model to see, what would these new followers look like? Without Jesus to be with, how would these people learn the way of Jesus? Or to put it another way, while this revolution has been spreading, the strength and endurance of this movement would be determined by how closely those who have never been with Jesus would look like him, reflect him, and reveal him to the world by the way they lived.
