Jonathan and his armor bearer step out in faith, believing God would act on their behalf. In contrast, Saul remained away from the battle in safety and comfort. People of bold faith step out with a confident anticipation that God will act as they seek to serve Him and carry out His work. The message sets up a great contrast between those who step out in courageous faith and those who stay back and play it safe.

God can be trusted. I need to step out in faith and trust Him with my finances. When I trust Him, He will act on my behalf. Playing it safe does not bring security – my security is in Him. I must learn to stand on the promises of God.
