Calling all moms of young children!
Are you exhausted? Lonely? Tired of trying to be supermom all the time? Do you sometimes feel stuck trying to figure out this thing called motherhood?
Momming is hard, challenging, and an amazing position we hold….and we all need a tribe of like-minded women to support and encourage us along the way. Whether you’re stay-at-home, working, teen, adoptive, special needs, single or married, exhausted or energized, have one child or ten children–MOPS is the place for you! (MOPS = Mothers of Preschoolers).
Our title of “Mom” is what brings us together and allows us to build a community. This group provides opportunities that helps mothers find friendships and acceptance, grow personally and as a parent, and find spiritual-based answers to some of life’s tough issues. Our common desire is to be the best moms we can be!
Our mission with NorthBridge MOPS is to encourage, equip, and develop mothers who recognize their value as a mom and embrace the influence they have on their family and the world around them.
We meet at the NorthBridge church building (18724 IL Route 173, Antioch, IL) on the first and third Tuesday’s of the month from 9-11am.
WHAT WE DO
At each meeting, moms enjoy snacks and (uninterrupted) conversation with other moms. Meeting activities include speakers, crafts, and discussion group time as well as special events throughout the year.
WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS?
Your child(ren) will be provided a structured program apart from the moms. Including time for snack, play, lesson and crafts. Newborns are welcom to attend meetings with their mothers or will be lovingly cared for in our nursery.
The MOPS fee is $66.00 per semester or $132.00 for the entire year. Membership to MOPS International is $32.00, which allows you access to many resources and support from the organization. Once you’ve paid for your membership to MOPS, the NorthBridge registration fee covers childcare, crafts, and special speakers. We have several payment options for this fee.
